Hi Caroline! Please tell us a little bit about yourself.

Hi there, I have a master’s in communication and I work as the European Marketing Director here at CELLINK. Prior to joining CELLINK I’ve worked with marketing in several different fields: construction, healthcare and the beauty industry.

What sparked your interest to work with 3D Bioprinting?

It’s a fascinating field where innovation and cutting-edge technology is key – being a part of something that drives such an important research into the future, and essentially can change and save people’s lives, is amazing.

What do you hope to see happen with 3D Bioprinting during your lifetime?

I hope to be around when technology allows us to print actual human organs. The idea of being able to custom make organs for people in need is incredibly exciting! It might still be a little bit further down the road, but consider the research and the skilled people working with the technology, I’m confident it’s bound to happen soon!

What was your dream job as a child?

I had a burning passion to become a chef! My inspiration came from several different famous TV-chefs. They made the whole thing seem so fun. Who wouldn’t like to spend their days food tasting, entertaining a crowd and coming up with catchphrases? Later I realized that I had other qualities, cooking food wasn’t one of them.

If you could have one superpower what would it be?

Teleporting.
