Hi Isabella! Please tell us a little bit about yourself.
Solving problems has always been one of my favorite hobbies, and a good challenge always makes the task more fun. Engineering living tissues offer just that, and at the same time a possibility for me to create something of great value for everyone.
What sparked your interest to work with 3D Bioprinting?
At the end of my education I knew I wanted to work with tissue engineering and 3D cultures, I came across the technology of 3D bioprinting and the possibilities the technology offered. I was sold immediately.
What do you hope to see happen with 3D Bioprinting during your lifetime?
I hope to see the use of bioprinting implemented in the everyday treatment and routine testing of both medical compounds and consumer goods, skin care products and cosmetics for example.
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I find it hard to live without an annually cold and dark season and I love to figure skate as a workout.
What was your dream job as a child?
I remember I didn’t really have a dream job as a child, I wanted to do something awesome people would look up to me for… It was sometime later I realized fame wasn’t necessary, doing awesome and cool stuff was the fun part.
If you could have one superpower what would it be?
Maybe boring but being able to fly. I mean, imagen all the fun you could have if you could both run and fly.
