Name: Zack Graham
Location: Boston, MA
Position: Sales Executive
I’m a Boston native (go Pats!), and I recently graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. My background is primarily in cell microbiology and biotechnology, and I have a strong affinity for innovation — especially in the biotech industry. This part of my personality is what drew me to CELLINK after I learned how their technology is transforming the field of bioprinting! I’m so excited to have the opportunity to be a part of something this amazing, and I can’t wait to see how the industry evolves in the next few years.
What sparked your interest to work with 3D bioprinting?
With a background in biotech, I was naturally drawn to the cutting-edge innovation, and I couldn’t learn fast enough how 3D printing was changing the way scientists work with cell culture. It really didn’t take much – the technology and progress CELLINK was making in bioprinting made the decision pretty easy — this is where I want to be!
What do you hope to see happen with 3D bioprinting during your lifetime?
I hope to be able to see the successful regeneration of 3D-printed neuronal networks. I’ve lost a few family members to Alzheimer’s and dementia, and I hope to see improvements in this area of research with bioprinting.
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I am an avid snowboarder and love escaping to the mountains for some winter sports every chance I get!
What was your dream job as a child?
As a child, I loved to build. My dream job was to design and build houses. Eventually, biology took over my interests, but who knows – maybe if things had turned out differently, I would be working at CELLINK as an engineer!
If you could have one superpower what would it be?
To be able to fly. One thing I can’t stand about Boston is the traffic. If I could fly everywhere, I could be that much more productive!
